Amur Maackia

Why it rocks:

Amur Maackia is an excellent small, ornamental & flowering tree. This hardy tree will delight in mid-summer with its upright plumes of fragrant white flowers when few other trees are in bloom. Amur Maackia is a small tree with an attractive upright, vase shape with a rounded crown, and medium green leaves. Fall color ranges from green fading to a yellowish brown. Its interesting copper bark will peel with age and add interest to the landscape in winter.

Where to put it:

Amur Maackia is useful in smaller landscapes, as an accent in the landscape, and is useful for added screening.

What it needs:

Amur Maackia prefers well-drained soil and is tolerant of both acidic and alkaline soils. This unique tree is drought tolerant, and very hardy, and is noted for doing well in tough environments.
